Grady's
Summer Newsletter

Dear Customer,

ProfileHello, and welcome to our first newsletter!  In this article we wanted you to get a better idea of what Grady's Window Cleaning is and what we do. (Besides just a window cleaning company that cleans windows!)

Our First Year

LogoIt has been one year since Grady's Window Cleaning has started.  After working with another window cleaning company for some time Grady decided to go into business himself and do things his way.

His way is to provide a nice friendly environment for home and business owners to be able to have their window cleaning needs met, and be satisfied with the results.   "Play it cool" is his motto (from Westside Story).  You will never hear him cuss or yell.  You will never see him throw a tool or punch a wall.  Grady says, "Any contractor who enters your home should be able to walk your dog and babysit your kids.  If you can't trust them to do that, don't trust them at all."

Since 2008 Grady's has strived to build his company's image as neat and clean.  This applies to the company's look, organization, and the results of your windows.  Grady's takes great pride is being "Clearly the Best" in Orange County.

Window Cleaning: Professional versus DIY

 Silktree Interior

The following article was posted by Service Magic:

"It's an old battle, and one that can go either way depending on what you're dealing with: Is it better to do a job yourself, or spend the extra money to hire a professional?...  Homeowners across the nation are mostly in agreement when it comes to major jobs like installing new plumbing or electrical wiring, but when you're talking about much smaller tasks, like cleaning windows, the decision is much more difficult."

"For those with a relatively small, single-level home... window cleaning is likely to be a job worth trying yourself, at least one time. It's certainly not as easy as it might initially seem (and you'll know that after completing just one or two).  If you have multiple stories, a large number of windows, or windows that are for one reason or another difficult to get to, the job becomes far more complex very quickly. After all is said and done, you may have spent quite a bit of your free time cleaning your windows, and the results might not be as spectacular as you want them to be."

"For a very reasonable fee... window cleaners will come to your home with all of the specialty equipment needed to do the job right. While you're spending your time relaxing, hanging out with your family, or doing whatever you like, your windows will be getting the cleaning they deserve. Power washers, extension poles, professional grade cleaning solutions, ladders, static-free rags (a lot more important than you might think in this process), and other tools of the trade will be hard at work creating sparkling, nearly invisible windows for your home."

"So, the bottom line is that this is a job that, in many instances, a homeowner can probably do him or herself. However, the amount of effort it will take, and the amount of time it will use up are significant. It's easy to understand, then, why so many people have opted to hire professionals to clean their windows and have made it one of the most popular jobs that we process."

Hard Water Spots

Hard Water Compare

We've all had them.  Either on the glass shower door or that window next to that super charged sprinkler we have all experienced Hard Water stains.  You try to clean it, throw Lime A Way at it, but no matter what you do the spots are back as soon as the windows are dry.  We have tried many methods to get rid of Hard Water spots without getting rid of the whole window itself.  We have found a method that gives us a rate of success we are happy with!

Hard Water deposits happen when water dries on windows.  As the water evaporates the calcium and minerals in the water remain on the glass.  These deposits will begin to erode the glass causing permanent damage.  There is a small window of time to get the minerals removed before they go from temporary stain to permanent scar.  It essential to get these removed as soon as possible.

If you have Hard Water stains at your home or business let us know and we will come out to fix your problem.

Thank you for helping make Grady's Window Cleaning what it is today.  Please call us today to schedule your next cleaning.  If you are new to Grady's contact us so we can come by for a free consultation.

 Sincerely,

 Grady Kerr
